Ángel Celada (Valencia, 1972) is a Spanish painter whose practice operates between gestural abstraction and structured composition. Trained in Fine Arts and with doctoral studies, he has developed a solid trajectory with a consolidated presence in art fairs, galleries and institutional contexts across Spain, and his work is held in private collections internationally.
His paintings are developed through a process-led methodology, often without a predefined composition, allowing forms, marks and color relationships to emerge progressively. Working with layered techniques that include acrylic, oil, collage and resin on panel, Celada builds complex surfaces where material, gesture and structure interact.
Drawing from influences such as Expressionism, Art Brut and contemporary abstraction, his work explores themes of transformation, resilience and perceptual experience. Through the balance between spontaneity and control, his compositions function as constructed visual fields that maintain tension while achieving a sense of internal coherence and quiet equilibrium.
