Mediterranean Garden with Woman Under Almond Blossom, Impressionist Oil Artist: José Antonio Pineda Bueno Birth: Motril, Granada, Spain, 1950 Title: Bajo el almendro Medium: Oil on canvas Period: Contemporary Spanish School Style: Mediterranean Impressionism / Post-Impressionist Figurative Painting Subject: Garden scene, female figure, almond blossom, Mediterranean landscape Dimensions: 54 × 65 cm / 21.3 × 25.6 in Framing: Unframed Signature: Signed lower right Inscription: Titled on the reverse: Bajo el almendro Condition: Good overall condition. Stable pictorial surface, strong impasto, visible texture and vibrant original colors. DESCRIPTION A luminous Mediterranean garden scene painted in oil on canvas by Spanish artist José Antonio Pineda Bueno, born in Motril, Granada, in 1950. The composition depicts an elegant female figure seated beneath a blossoming almond tree, surrounded by abundant vegetation, white and pink flowers, intense greens and warm touches of yellow, red and orange. The scene has an immediate visual charm: fresh, decorative, poetic and full of spring light. The painting is built with a rich, expressive and highly textured brushstroke. The impasto gives the surface a strong physical presence, allowing the flowers, foliage and figure to emerge through a vibrant and almost tactile rhythm. The white parasol, the yellow hat and the red tree trunk create a dynamic structure within the composition, while the surrounding blossoms dissolve into a loose, atmospheric and colourful garden. This is a highly attractive work for collectors of Spanish contemporary painting, Mediterranean art, impressionist garden scenes and figurative compositions with a luminous decorative presence. It combines elegance, colour and atmosphere in a way that makes it especially suitable for refined interiors. The title written on the reverse, Bajo el almendro / Under the Almond Tree, adds a lyrical and evocative dimension to the painting. It is a work with strong visual appeal, joyful Mediterranean energy and a very commercial decorative strength. The kind of painting that does not simply hang on a wall: it makes the room feel better dressed. European art with a Mediterranean soul.
