This charming late 19th-century Munich School oil painting on wood panel depicts a sun-dappled Bavarian country road animated by rural traffic. A farmer guides a team of heavy draft horses pulling a loaded wooden wagon, pausing alongside a rider with horses, a local woman carrying a basket with a small child and dog, and a traditional wayside shrine (Marterl) under a vast, cloud-filled sky.
