This image captured by New York photographer Christopher Petsos in 2014, featuring The Bow Bridge (cast iron bridge), located in Central Park, New York City. The photograph demonstrates the beauty of New York City in the Fall, when the humidity of summer is gone but plenty of days with warm temperatures and blue skies remain to demonstrate a show of colorful foliage, as do the residential side streets and busy squares. Christopher Petsos is a New York City based photographer and artist. He is best known for capturing Light, pattern, texture, color and motion across the urban realm. Christopher Petsos believes that we see things through a filter of the self, a camera records the physical details of a scene, but our human eyes and sub-conscious self are the interpreters that complete our view of reality. In his own words: “Throughout the process, I stay faithful to the underlying truth of the scene. My work inhabits the space between literal depiction and my emotional Impression of the moment. The result is hyper-reality: facts imbued with feeling.” In this image, Christopher Petsos stands true to his words and brilliantly captures the light, pattern, texture, color and motion across the urban realm and painted it in his own colors to give the viewer a new perspective.
