About the Item

Here we are offering a fantastic mystery Ferris wheel bearing ball driven crystal regulator clock. Unlike traditional wind up or weight driven clock, this unique clock receive its working power from 20 large ball bearing, which rolling down the top tray. When the ball clears on the Ferris wheel, it simply rolls down to the bottom drawer. After it collects a few of the steel ball bearing, you simply replace them back on the top tray, which has designated channels that allows the balls to roll down to the large Ferris wheel. There is a front door below the finials and reveals the large channels. It just takes a few seconds to get the large steel balls back on the track. This is truly unusual clock. The clock has an ebony wood case with large beveled glass on all four sizes. The size of this clock is also magnificent. It's 22" tall and 10-1/2" wide. This clock has a porcelain dial and a visible platform movement through the round window at 12 o'clock position. Just below the dial, you will notice a barometer and a thermometer on the left. They certainly offer you more info than other clocks. The solid brass lion is standing on a black marble platform. The complete movement is made of heavy solid brass as well, no plastic parts like other cheap imitations. This clock is in good working order. It is a "must have" piece for any clock collector.

Located in Danville, CA

For your consideration is a mystery Water Wheel Industrial Ball Bearing Clock. It comes with an 8 day movement and keeps very good time!! This water wheel industrial clock has a big paddle wheel on the right side which hold a a set of small steel ball bearings. The weight of these balls is propelling the clock. The bucket catches the ball and move it up one by one. Every 60 seconds, a steel ball drops from the left bucket on the channel to the waterwheel. Then the bucket drops down and go around to catch another ball bearing. The loops goes on as the clock keeps on running. The buckets chain is made of brass and nicely done. The power is received from an 8 day fusee movement inside the solid hardwood base, red ash. And the clock has a pendulum on the back to regulate the timing. The whole animation of this clock is just like a waterwheel except it's ball bearing "flowing" through channels and there is a clock on the big water wheel. The clock is protected by a glass dome.
