About the Item

Mid-Century Ecuadorian Silvered Figural Bird Vessel by Taller Tinta A finely handcrafted Mid-Century Modern figural bird vessel by Taller Tinta, Ecuador, celebrated for its sculptural metalwork inspired by native wildlife and Pre-Columbian design. This charming bird features a richly textured body with hand-punched decoration, engraved wings, an elegant fan-shaped tail, and a vivid turquoise cabochon eye. The open-back form functions as a small vessel while also serving as a highly decorative sculpture. The naturally aged silvered finish has developed a desirable patina, emphasizing the handcrafted quality of the piece. Signed “Taller Tinta, Ecuador.” A wonderful example of Latin American Modern design that displays beautifully on a bookshelf, desk, or cabinet of curiosities.
