About the Item

A central frosted relief of a dancing nude female figure, inspired by dancer Isadora Duncan, forms the focal point of this heavy clear crystal scent bottle. The rectangular panel is recessed within deep, tiered geometric mouldings that flank the central subject. These stepped bevelled borders create sharp, light-refracting facets down the length of the flacon, accentuating the contrast between the polished crystal margins and the satin-finished figure with her raised arms. The bottle is fitted with a high-grade chrome-plated atomiser mount produced by the renowned Parisian specialist Marcel Frank. The assembly includes a cylindrical collar, an arched dispenser nozzle, an internal syphon tube, and a flexible fabric-sheathed hose terminating in an ivory-toned woven spray bulb. First designed by René Lalique during the height of the Art Deco period in the 1920s, the Duncan pattern celebrates classical movement through modernist geometry. This later edition was reissued in fine lead crystal during the late 20th century. The underside of the base is hand-engraved with the post-war script signature 'Lalique ® France', and the original transparent label reading 'Cristal Lalique Paris' remains affixed near the base. Measuring 20.32 cm in height, the atomiser is complete with its fitted presentation box. The crystal body is preserved in immaculate order without chips or scratches, and the pump mechanism is reported to be in full working order. We ship internationally, tracked.
