About the Item

A handsome and most decorative French 19th century Renaissance st. Silvered Bronze, Ormolu and Crystal centerpiece. This stunning centerpiece is raised by a circular Silvered Bronze base with embossed foliate scrolled bands and palmette designs. Four female masks flank the palmette designs before leading to an inner gadrooned band decorated with open winged eagles. The bottom of the central column displays an Ormolu ring with a Rais de Coeur, and beaded band. At the center is a stunning wrap around Silver Bronze relief depicting classically dressed personages. Above is an additional Rais de Coeur Ormolu band which supports the fitted cut Crystal bowl. The finely cut bowl showcases octagon shaped cuts and an elegant scalloped rim.
