About the Item

A fine George V sterling silver teapot dating to 1912, designed in the Georgian style and displaying elegant early 20th-century English silver craftsmanship. The teapot features a panelled ovoid body surmounted by a finely hand-pierced gallery rail decorated with foliate motifs. A fruitwood handle and turned finial provide an attractive contrast to the polished sterling silver body while complementing the traditional character of the design. The piece is raised upon a circular stepped pedestal base, creating a well-balanced and refined profile. The generously proportioned spout and substantial handle make the teapot both decorative and practical for serving. Fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1912, with the hallmarks showing some age-related rubbing while remaining legible. The teapot has a substantial gross weight of approximately 629.1 grams and a liquid capacity of approximately 900 ml. Presented in very good antique condition with no noted bruises, losses, holes, damage or repairs. It remains free from later engraved presentation inscriptions or monograms and retains a beautiful bright patina. George V sterling silver Tea Pot. Pannellef body of ovoid form.
