About the Item

Art Deco Figural Leaded Glass Table Lamp with Twin Sculptural Figures By Loevsky & Loevsky L&L WMC A striking Art Deco table lamp composed of a fan-shaped leaded glass panel in warm amber, russet and white. Two dark sculptural figures stand before the glass, their outstretched arms meeting at the centre. The panel rises from a wooden base, with two brass bulb holders positioned at the rear. The strong symmetry of the figures and the radiating shape of the glass give the lamp a distinctive presence on a console, desk or bedside cabinet. Its warm colours are especially effective when illuminated. The original photographs show the details of the figures, glass and base. L&L WMC is most famous for its heavy involvement in the Hollywood Regency and Baroque Revival aesthetics of the 1960s and 1970s. Their pieces typically feature ornate, stamped filigree patterns, cherubs/putti, faux-gilding, and combinations with hanging crystal prisms or glass slag shades. Condition: Vintage condition with surface wear and patina consistent with use. Please examine the photographs for the visible details. The lamp will be inspected by an electrician and rewired if required before dispatch. Electrical testing had not been completed when this listing was prepared.
