About the Item

Large Murano glass table lamp dating from the 1950s, remarkable for its generous proportions and its combination of three different glassmaking techniques. Its wide base is crafted from clear blown glass, with soft, rounded lines. It is topped by a tall moulded-glass column featuring an elegant raised geometric design, bringing rhythm and character to the piece. The upper section is distinguished by a spectacular textured glass shade, shaped like a generously flared tulip. Its textured surface softly diffuses the light, creating a warm atmosphere while highlighting the transparency and interplay of materials characteristic of Murano glass. With its sculptural silhouette and beautiful proportions, this lamp is a striking decorative piece. It would sit perfectly on a console table or occasional table in a living room, entrance hall, or either a contemporary or more traditional interior. Good overall condition, with a patina and minor signs of wear consistent with its age.
