About the Item

Vintage table lamp features urn shaped elongated ceramic body, decorated with chartreuse yellow glaze and mounted on round stepped carved wooden base. Complex, somewhat muted glaze color adds an unexpected element to a traditional lamp's shape without overpowering it; high gloss glaze adds texture and reflects light, guiding the eye along the lines of the piece. The lamp is in fully operational, very good original vintage condition. It is marked with its Underwriter Laboratories sticker on the bottom, but it's missing the manufacturer sticker; similar lamps with this glaze are documented to Royal Haeger in multiple veritable online sources, allowing us to confidently attribute it to Haeger. The original unpolarized plug dates the lamp to 1950s. The lamp measures 19.5" to the top of the socket, and 26.5" - to the top of the finial; its conservative footprint allows it to be used not only on tables and sideboards, but also on narrow shelves or fireplace mantels. Sculptural Mid Century Modern table lamp, distinguished with elegant form, high-quality craftsmanship, and statement piece presence, will make a perfect addition to a wide range of interiors, from Traditional to Modernist, Transitional, Hollywood Regency, Modern Heritage, Neo Deco, Modern Country, English Cottage, Collected, Eclectic, or Contemporary.

Vintage Scandinavian Modern, Danish style ceramic lamp features elongated ceramic body with build-un ceramic round base and wood top element. Tall, sculptural ceramic body is decorated with monochromatic, medium-gloss, buttery yellow glaze. The ceramic body appears to be handmade with small glaze skips that are usually characteristic of a handmade pottery. The lamp measures 22" to the top of the socket, and 30.15" to the top of the finial; it is in good, working vintage condition with the original harp and finials.
