This lamp was produced at the end of the deco period and shows all of the hallmarks of art deco. This is a unique standalone lamp that is versatile and can hold its own among vintage-eclectic or modern design. It is the ultimate form over function lighting. Our appraiser says it is from the 1940-1950 period. A vintage Art Deco style cast iron and metal table lamp It is an unattributed maker, American or European, mid 20th Century. With single socket within an opaque white ribbed shade with stippled base, the body of the lamp in a stylized foliate motif on a turned reel over a column, all on a raised circular foot. Unmarked. Height: 38 inches tall; diameter of base 10-1/2 inches PROVENANCE: Acquired at auction. This lamp sheds a soft warm or brighter light if you use the three-way switch and a three-way bulb..
