Title Early 19th Century Neoclassical Mahogany Wall Mirror with Gilt Carved Accents, circa 1810–1830 Description A handsome early 19th century Neoclassical mahogany wall mirror, dating to approximately 1810–1830, featuring architectural proportions, carved classical ornament, and original-style aged mirror glass. The rectangular frame is crafted in richly toned mahogany and flanked by fluted quarter-column sides, giving the piece a strong architectural presence. The upper section is embellished with finely carved and gilt decorative motifs, including a central shell with radiating foliate elements and additional gilt floral ornament at the corners. Further gilt accents appear along the cornice, lower corners, and carved terminals, creating an elegant contrast against the warm mahogany frame.
