An utterly enchanting French Louis XV fauteuil, steeped in romantic history and time-worn elegance. This exquisite vanity chair presents a classic caned medallion back, beautifully aged and retaining its original double caning - a rare detail prized by connoisseurs. The hand-carved beechwood frame showcases delicate Rocaille scrollwork: a floral garland crest, blooming roses on the apron, and graceful cabriole legs terminating in scrolled feet. The finish is sublime - layers of authentic time-worn patina, revealing whispers of powder blue, celadon, and warm walnut beneath a distressed creamy white, as captured in the detailed close-ups.
