About the Item

Brand: Magis Design: Konstantin Grcic Model: Aka Aka is a stool designed by Konstantin Grcic for Magis, characterized by a simple yet expressive construction that highlights the structural qualities of wood. The design reflects Grcic's interest in essential forms and honest materials, resulting in a piece that is both functional and sculptural. The stool is made from beech plywood, carefully shaped to create a compact and stable structure. Its design is defined by the interplay of flat planes and precise angles, giving the stool a clear architectural presence despite its minimal form. The natural beech finish enhances the grain and warm tone of the wood, emphasizing the authenticity of the material and the refined simplicity of the design. The visible layers of plywood contribute to the aesthetic character of the piece, revealing the construction technique and reinforcing its industrial yet natural appeal. Compact and versatile, Aka can function as a stool, a small side table, or an occasional seat, making it suitable for a variety of contemporary interiors.
