About the Item

This exquisite limed oak chest of drawers with swivel mirror represents the finest craftsmanship of Heal’s, circa 1930. The piece showcases the sophisticated design sensibilities of the interwar period, when Heal’s was at the forefront of the British Arts and Crafts movement, championing quality materials and honest construction. The gentle lime wash finish creates a subtle, sophisticated patina that speaks to decades of careful preservation. The chest features two generous drawers, each measuring 6.75” H x 21.25” W x 16.25” D. The detachable swivel mirror, standing 39” tall by 16” wide, offers both functionality and visual grace, allowing for adjustment while adding interest to any room. The beautifully paneled sides demonstrate the meticulous attention to detail that made Heal’s furniture so coveted among discerning collectors. It stands 65” tall overall with a base measuring 24” H x 24” W x 17.75” D. This is a piece of design history, representing an era when British craftsmanship set the global standard for quality and aesthetic refinement.
