About the Item

Awesome vintage rustic Ranch Oak step end table with two drawers & Acorn Brown finish by A. Brandt. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. Back was missing for the drawered upper section and a new back was put in place and stained to match. Had a water ring that was repaired with restore-a-finish. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Mid-20th -Late-20th Century. Rugged, Rustic, and Ranch Oak!! This is a SUPERB vintage step end table by A. Brandt comprised of a rustic solid ranch oak frame with an Acorn Brown finish that is signature to A. Brandt Company furniture. The all-over woodgrain is outstanding, and the finish is gorgeous. The step cube or box has two drawers with square wood pulls, and it has wonderful farm or country style legs with pegs through the tabletop… a cool detail! Can’t you just see this table amongst the décor in the Yellowstone Ranch?? We sure can!! Obviously, this step end table will be beautiful at the end of your comfy sofa with an antler base lamp or western style table lamp of any kind. But it would also be wonderful in a rustic style sitting room beside your favorite chair with books, a plant, or some cactus. Or in your rustic mountain cottage in a sitting room or sunroom next to a loveseat or daybed. The possibilities are endless because of its versatility and overall simplistic beauty. A Brandt Company was established in 1900 by German immigrant August Brandt. But it was Paul Brandt, August’s son, who engineered and debuted the Ranch Oak furniture in Fort Worth, Texas in 1938. Paul served as company president for approximately 50 years. The production of the Ranch Oak line continued until the mid-1980s. It was used in ranch homes, mountain homes, dude ranches, and basement rec rooms across the nation. The US government contracted Ranch Oak furnishings for many of their military bases. And it was used by National Park lodges plus roadside motels for its attractive, durable, rustic type of décor. If you have been looking for a Two-Step partner… this little step table might just do the trick!! It’s just the right piece to add a little Ranch Oak style to your home, you just found it…now, make it yours! Circa, late 20th century. Know what’s better than an exceptional oak end table with a cane and glass top? two of them!!!! That’s right, this is a wonderful pair of oak modern to post-modern end tables with caning under the glass insert tops. They have recessed pedestal bases, horizontal trim strips around their center, and stunning wood grain! We have been told they are in the style of Lou Hodges, but we haven’t found any proof to substantiate that claim. No matter, they are going to be beautiful in your living room beside your sofa or loveseat, or maybe in your bedroom as nightstands. Of course, they would also be lovely hosting plants or a fabulous pair of lamps...
