About the Item

Of extraordinary beauty and unique charm, the blue butterfly has always been considered the bearer of wishes. According to ancient beliefs it has the power to make dreams come true. Instead, according to other cultures, the blue butterfly is a symbol of joy, happiness, honor and change. We imagined filling this side table with blue butterflies, creating an effect of overlap and depth. The glazed majolica "Petalouda" side table was handmade and subsequently hand painted in Italy. The surface of the table was entirely hand painted, you can distinguish the artist's brushstrokes and the shades range from light blue to midnight blue. Under the table top there is the deBlona brand and the limited edition numbering. The side table "Petalouda" is made up of two distinct parts: the table top and the base. To assemble the table, simply screw the table top onto the base. The table is very stable and durable, the connection joint is made of beech wood turned and treated with oil, the screw is made of stainless steel. Limited Edition of 50 DIMENSIONS: D ~ 55 cm (21.6 in) H ~ 50 cm (19.6 in) COLORS: black, blue, light blue, green, white The beauty of a deBlona majolica is determined by the ancient process, unchanged over time and handmade, which we observe to the letter in the creation of our artworks: painting ceramics is a very complex, fascinating and insidious art, but it is precisely the human and imperfect sign that makes every piece so characteristic and totally unique. deBlona's essence is represented by the interpretation of the color and by an unrepeatable taste, with which we want to give new chromatic emotions.
