About the Item
This framed abstract features two original works from the Musician Series by artist Lorraine Cohn. Each composition presents a loosely figurative, expressive form rendered in layered washes of green, blue, and ochre tones, with soft transitions and visible textural variation. The figures appear musician-like in gesture, conveyed through an abstract, gestural approach rather than literal detail.
Signed "Cohn" on the front, with the series title and artist's name handwritten on the backing paper. The artworks are presented together in a single frame, matted individually with linen-textured fabric and bordered by a simple gold-tone inner trim. The frame has a warm wood exterior and retains its original hanging wire and backing, showing age-appropriate wear consistent with vintage framed artwork.
The pieces appear to be executed in mixed media on paper (exact materials unconfirmed). This diptych works well as a standalone wall piece and fits comfortably within modern, mid-century, or eclectic interiors.A thoughtful example of abstract figurative work, offering subtle movement, color harmony, and a quiet narrative quality suitable for collectors of vintage and mid- century modern art.
Vintage condition as pictured.
