About the Item

Flowing deep navy Garter mantle and white ceremonial gown define this large porcelain study of Queen Elizabeth II, portrayed in the full regalia of the Most Noble Order of the Garter. Sculpted with an expansive train that cascades across the base, the figure wears the black Tudor bonnet with white ostrich and heron feathers, along with the detailed collar and badge of the Order. Modelled by Ronald Van Ruyckevelt for Royal Worcester, the sculpture formed the sixth issue in the Queens Regnant of England series, produced in 1976. The monarch is depicted holding her white gloves, with the garter star pinned to the mantle and the decorative cord with metallic tassels suspended at the front. The contrasting matte porcelain flesh tones and lustrous glazed drapery demonstrate the high technical standards of Worcester's bespoke figure production. This example is numbered 49 from a limited edition of 250 pieces, as recorded in gold lettering beneath the base alongside the maker's printed backstamp. It rests on a dedicated hexagonal stepped hardwood plinth fitted with a gilt title plaque. The original certificate of authenticity is also present, preserved in an embossed standing leatherette frame. Standing approximately 39 cm tall, the figurine retains its original fitted factory packaging and branded outer cardboard boxes. The porcelain is well preserved with no chips, cracks, hairline fractures, or professional restorations, keeping its rich colours and fine details intact. We ship internationally, tracked.
